My mum, dad, holidaying in Llandudno in July 1972, took a cruise one overcast Sunday round Anglesey and Puffin Island on this wonderful boat. I was nervous throughout the trip in case I repeated the extreme bout of seacksickness I'd had (still my one and only) on the MV Gulfoss travelling from Leith to Copenhagen in July 71.
I have a vivid memory of subsequently seeing Manxman and her older sister (?) King Orry moored at the Llandudno pier in late afternoon sunshine. It was a glorious glimpse into a bygone age.
